Eight Questions to Figure Out Your Life
ByHaving just popped over to Tynan.net (an awesome Blog, by a pretty cool guy), he has just finished reading a book called E-Myth Revisited, in the book, is a series of questions which defines one’s personal aims.
Having decided to take a new road in my life, I think answering these set of questions could be pretty useful and will allow me to discover and set some goals.
So here they are:
What do I want my life to look like?
Well deciding to become a Personal Trainer, I want to live an active, healthy life. Keeping in shape is obviously a major attribute to the job and one that I am serious about doing and maintain throughout my life. I don’t want to me one of the fat blokes sat behind a computer desk.
I want to work very hard and achieve a lot, and am really looking forward to getting a lot out of what I intend to put in to my career. Working my own hours and working in different locations would be awesome.
With the job, I want to help many others to achieve there goals and to assist people to live a healthier, longer life.
On a more personal level, I want to be happy, get married to my girlfriend, have a family, nice house, nice holidays and my kids to grow up having a happy childhood, as I did. I want it all!!
Enjoying time with my amazing Friends and Family is something I love doing, I’m lucky to have so many good people around me. Being able to do different things with them and not being stuck in the same old routine and drinking in the same pub.
I want to be happy as an Arsenal supporter and celebrate with them when they win countless trophies though out my life.
What do you want your life to look like on a daily basis?
I want every day to be different, again, one reason why I decided I wanted to be a Personal Trainer was that it will allow me to have a different day at work every day. Routines, Workouts, Classes, Clients will all change on a daily basis.
I want to live healthy everyday, work out, get fit and eat healthy foods.
I want a Macbook air, to allow me to have it on my 24/7. Having access to the Internet is a necessity.
What would I like to be able to say I truly know in my life about my life?
I want to know that I lived the life I wanted to live, and did things my way to achieve what I wanted in life. Making my own decisions and keeping with them.
How would I like to be with other people in my life – friends, family, business associates, customers, employees, community?
Friends
I want to be the guy that my mates can depend on, and think of me as that guy who is always there for them whenever they need me. Once qualified as a Personal Trainer, I want to give them help in achieving any fitness goals that they have. I want them to be happy and successful.
Family
I want to be that loving son, brother, uncle, nephew that makes my family proud. I want them to know that I will always be there for them.
Business Associates
I want to be professional and courteous and deliver over there expectations. I want them to be able to depend on me and think of me first when asked “any good Personal Trainers out there”
Customers
As above, but I want to deliver pacific, personally goals and nutrition advice meeting there exact needs.
Employees
I want them to be happy to go to work and for them to be doing what they want to do.
Community
Being a man like my Dad is in the community would be a great achievement. Respected, look up to and reliable.
How would I like people to think about me?
I want people to think that I worked hard to achieve my goals.
What do I want to be doing 2,10,20 years from now? At the end of my life?
2 (age 27)
I want to be a fully qualified Personal Trainer, gaining experience and learning everyday.
10 (age 35)
I want to be self employed and working the hours I choose (meeting clients needs too) and to work from home to allow me to spend time with any children I may have
20 (age 45)
I want to have my own company/gym. To be recognised as a successful professional in the fitness industry.
End of Life
I want to be happy with everything I did in my life and not have any regrets

How to become a Personal Trainer….
How much money will I need, and when?
£1,700 by the end of next year to allow me to get the Macbook Air.
Enough money to make my kids lives awesome and mine too. But live aint all about money.
